LIVE EVENT! Jane's Walk with Kathleen (Strolling the Bluffs on Maury Island)

  • 79th Avenue SW and SW 260th Street Vashon, WA, 98070 United States (map)

Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walk festivals take place in hundreds of cities around the world. Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbors.

Please join one of our walking hosts. No need to register in advance, just show up at the start time and plan to spend about an hour walking and talking. Please observe social distancing and masking requirements.

“What’s Your Vashon Story”, May 8th,11am.

Kathleen, our Senior Center Receptionist and Wild Walker leader, welcomes you to talk about how your life path brought you to the island while we stroll the bluffs on Maury. The paths are firm gravel or smooth dirt and have a few short hills.

Meet at the corner of 79th Avenue SW and SW 260th Street (Upper
Gold Beach).
