Join us at Vashon Senior Center! We serve hot meals & delicious salads Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon, and our Care-a-Van brings people here from all over the Island. We host over 20 programs every week that help keep bodies, minds and spirits fit, from Zumba to Tai Chi, Bridge to Mah Jongg, Meditation, Music Mends Minds and so many more.
Special Activities coming up include a monthly End of Life Planning session (running January - June on the 4th Friday of the month), Seattle Theatre Group’s monthly Dance for Parkinson’s class, new Spinal Mobility and Beginning Spanish sessions, and Meditation with Vashon Oneness Center, and much more. Our Senior Center Village takes the Senior Center out into the community, providing rides, chore help and friendly connections.
All are welcome at Vashon Senior Center, and our Members enjoy special discounts, trips and events. Adults aged 55 and older can access many supportive services.

We are hiring! Vashon Senior Center is looking for our next Driver and Transportation Assistant.
We are looking for someone who loves people and will offer a caring smile, a helping hand, and a genuine commitment to the transportation needs of seniors. This position drives our 9- and 10-passenger buses and currently provides much-needed transportation for seniors to and from the Center a minimum of 3 days each week, on fun Senior Center-sponsored day trips both on-island and off-island, and occasional lunch deliveries. Future plans include taking groups to medical and other appointments. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with seniors and make rides on our bus a fun experience, while also adhering to all safety and transportation rules and regulations. This is a very customer-service oriented position.
START DATE: Position open until filled, but Driver will ideally begin by February 21 to allow time for orientation and training. Full job description available here: Driver and Transportation Assistant.
